Tacos el Patron

If you're cruising through Beaverton, Oregon, and suddenly crave bold, authentic Mexican flavors, there's one spot you have to hit—Tacos el Patron. Tucked along SW Tualatin Valley Hwy, this no-frills gem is where street-style tacos meet unbeatable flavor. It’s not just another taco joint—it’s the taco joint.

Locals can’t stop talking about their Birria Tacos, and for good reason. Imagine slow-cooked, juicy meat tucked inside crispy tortillas, dunked into rich consommé—pure bliss. If you like cheese (who doesn’t?), their Queso Birria takes things to another level, adding a melty layer of cheesy goodness to the mix.

But the menu doesn’t stop there. Ever tried a Queka? It’s like a giant quesadilla, but way more satisfying, and the fillings are packed with flavor. If you're feeling something crunchy, go for the Tacos Dorados De Pollo. They’re golden-fried and stuffed with seasoned chicken—perfectly crispy on the outside, deliciously tender inside.

Oh, and let’s not skip breakfast. Yes, Tacos el Patron has you covered early in the day too, with their Breakfast Burrito—hearty, flavorful, and totally worth waking up for.

The vibe? Super casual and welcoming. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or loading up for a weekend feast, it’s the kind of place that feels like a local favorite from the first visit. And let’s be real—once you’ve had their birria, you're going to want to come back. Again and again.

So next time you're near 21460 SW Tualatin Valley Hwy in Beaverton, don’t overthink it. Pull in, order a few tacos (or all of them), and see what the hype is all about.

I had not paid attention to these food trucks, but I found them. I had two tacos with just birria and queso; took them home in a bag. Delicious, but a little greasy. That was maybe my fault for getting them so plain, but they had loads of flavor. I didn't bother with the Coca-Cola bottle dispenser outside the truck, although I do love my Coke. The proprietor makes tacos many different ways, so there is probably a way you will love.

This is our favorite taco spot! The food never disappoints and the service is always great, the guy that's usually there is always so friendly. Plenty of parking if you just want to get your food to go and ample seating if you want to eat there. There's heaters during the winter and cover for rain or shine.

This place was great. We ordered only one thing since we are going out to dinner later, but this was as good as we heard about. We ordered the queso birria. I wish we had a photo to post, but we ate it too quickly. It looks just like the menu photo.

Been here multiple times and the food is amazing. Only had 1 experience where the Birria Queso tacos were soggy otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. Definitely will keep coming back.

This has become a favorite. Now we have added a taco night to the menus since moving here! Has good seating. Covered with space heaters when needed. Has beer (corona if you didn't know is tolerable for those who are GF intolerant) Food is quick. We always get the birria tacos, with cheese, without, the box, burrito with pastor and that's about it. There are two trucks. One has desert and looks to be seafood. Pretty sure they are connected. So good. No complaints
